Mobile Press--Gulf Photos

The Newspaper here in town is calling for photographs of the Gulf Coast taken since the Oil Spill on April 20, 2010.

I submitted two photographs, one of which was taken this past weekend at the wedding. Below is the link for my pictures!

Tis the season...for weddings!

So, what I am going to call the Running of the Weddings 2011 begins this weekend with my future brother-in-law getting married. I've been asked to photograph the wedding, which should be interesting because my fiance is in it! Yesterday, we went out for a little pre-wedding Engagement photoshoot.

New year, new news

It has been a while since I have updated this blog. Since my last post, I completed my Masters program in Dance and have moved back home to prepare for the next big event, my wedding! Here's an engagement picture taken by Courtney Pritchard.

In my professional life, I am currently applying for teaching jobs in the area where I will be moving after getting married this summer.

Works and Projects

Since tomorrow is the first of October, I thought that I would finally share what I've been up to the last couple months.
Over the summer, I had the opportunity to photograph the comings and goings of the American Dance Festival at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. My trip was paid as part of a grant with my professor, Rick McCullough and another graduate student from FSU. We photographed classes and dress rehearsals for performances by such artists as Martha Clarke, Rosie Herrera, Paul Taylor Company, and Shen Wei. It was an exciting experience, and I hope to share the photographs someday. Just stay tuned!
More recently, I have been concentrating on my MFA Thesis Concert at school. This is quickly approaching and we have our opening night in just three weeks! I have contributed about 25 minutes consisting of four pieces of my own choreography and a solo set by the one and only Michael Foley. This concert is, by far, the most important experience of my career at the moment, and I am looking forward to seeing the fruits of my labor. More to come!
